The Micralite® Toro Sun & Bug Shield was designed to reduce your baby's exposure to harmful UV rays and protect them from biting insects. While it provides good visibility and ventilation, the Sun & Bug Shield also functions as a windbreaker. The shield fits snugly over the Micralite® Toro Stroller, conveniently zips to the hood, and comes complete with a handy storage bag.
The Micralite® Toro Sun & Bug Shield provides a UPF rating of 3. UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) is a rating system used to measure the UV protection provided by fabric. Fabric with a UPF rating of 3 only allows 1/3rd of the UV radiation falling on the surface of the fabric to pass through. In other words, the Toro Sun & Bug Shield blocks 2/3rd or 66% of UV radiation.
